Brian Edwards | Albany, Alameda County
Brian Edwards is the Branch Manager of the Albany Library in Alameda County. He works with community groups on program collaboration, and internally to provide literacy and opportunities for learning within the community. He has worked at the Alameda County Library system in various capacities since he was 18 years old.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from CSU East Bay, Contract Management Certificate from Sacramento State College Continuing Education, a Masters of Public Administration from CSU East Bay, and is currently working on his MLIS at the University of North Texas.
Brian has embraced the culture shift in public libraries, and has worked with various groups to create stronger communities. He sees the library as a cultural center of the community that can be a complementary addition to other agencies. Brian can be reached at [email protected].
