Mark Prestwich has been working in progressively responsible local government positions for nearly two decades and was appointed to his first City Manager position with the City of Nevada City in June 2014.  Mark earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from CSU, Fullerton and Masters in Public Policy & Administration from CSU, Long Beach.  Immediately prior to becoming a City Manager, Mark spent 10 years working in the City Managers’ offices of Napa and Sacramento.

Mark began his local government career as an Administrative Intern with the City of Long Beach before moving on to Analyst positions with the League of California Cities, City of Sunnyvale and City of Napa.  Mark served as a member of the MMANC Board of Directors for six consecutive years, including MMANC President in 2007.

We recently had an opportunity to catch up with Mark and hear what he had to say about MMANC and how MMANC has helped in his local government career.
