Being a leader, especially in local government, is not easy. As many agency decisions are based on group-decision making, it is crucial that effective leaders develop the skills needed to manage a team.

Join Municipal Management Association of Northern California (MMANC)’s Region 2 as they host this session on Team Leadership!  It will be held in Santa Rosa on July 16, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  A special presentation of the new MMANC video will be screened before the session begins.

Participants will learn about the Team Development stages: Forming, Norming, Storming and Performing. You will talk about what makes a great leader and understand the style preferences of yourself and others by using the “True Colors” system.  This is a fun and interactive exercise that will have you up and out of your seat and thinking outside of the box!  And finally, you will establish your personal communication and leadership plan.

The session will be led by Lisa Johnson, with Balancepoint Group, an Executive Coach and Organizational Development Consultant with years of diverse business leadership experience..  Lisa presented this session in Chico last year at the combined Region 2 & 3 event “Leadership and Personal Growth for the Public Sector Staff” for approximately 35 members of the Northern California community and it was a huge success.

This is an excellent presentation for everyone!
